The District Treasurer is responsible for managing the District 43 and Gratitude Day finances. The District Treasurer will: take precautions to safeguard the District’s and Gratitude Day funds; record cheques and cash received; make regular bank deposits; disburse District and Gratitude Day funds for expenditures and contribution to the A.A. service entities; compile a monthly report for the District Committee.

The District Treasurer will work with the District Committee Member and the District Committee Chairpersons to prepare annual budgets for consideration by the District Committee. The Treasurer will attend and become a member of committees related to District events.

The position of District Treasurer is one of the most responsible positions in District 43. The member elected as District Treasurer should have at least four years of sobriety.
